What I’m still learning (and maybe you are too)

What I’m still learning (and maybe you are too)

At FISIKA, we believe in the quiet power of everyday women. This is episode 2 in our “Real Stories” series, because behind every product is a person, and behind every person is a journey worth sharing.

I’ve always felt that growing older doesn’t mean we stop learning, it just means we learn different things.

I’m a mom of two grown sons. They’re out there building their lives now, but I still feel that same protective spark I felt when they were little. That never really fades. I want to be there for them, not just emotionally, but in real, practical ways. That means keep working, staying strong, and keeping my independence.

Life isn’t always smooth. Prices go up, bills pile in. I rent out part of my home to help with expenses. I work at FISIKA, which brings calm to my day, and I also offer massage therapy when I can. And now, I’ve started studying makeup artistry. Some people might say it’s too late to learn something new, but I don’t think that’s true. The world keeps changing, and we have to keep moving with it.

There are days when I feel like a tired and unsure soul. But I try to focus on what I can do. I’ve learned to keep going, even when things feel shaky.

People sometimes look at women like me and only see the surface. But there’s a quiet kind of strength that builds when you’ve had to stand on your own. I’m not trying to be perfect, I’m just trying to be capable. To stay true to myself. To keep learning, because learning makes me feel alive.

On quiet nights, I light a candle, rub a little REVIVE Revitalising cream like a night balm into my hands, and take a deep breath. It’s my way of saying:

I’m still here. I’m still learning. I’m still me.

If you’re feeling stretched, tired, or unsure of where you’re headed, please know this: you’re not alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep showing up.

We’re all doing our best in a world that asks a lot. But maybe that’s where our real power comes from.

During a mini interview regarding Maria K.’s role at FISIKA, things turned a bit emotional, yet this is really who FISIKA people are- raw, emotional with pure interest in your skin and self care journey.

💌 A Little Invitation

Take a moment for yourself today.
Write down three things you’ve learned this year.
What surprised you? What helped you grow? What are you still curious about?

Or just sit quietly with a warm drink, some soft music, and a little olive-oil cream on your skin.
Let yourself feel proud of how far you’ve come.

If Maria’s story speaks to you, leave her a comment, or share it with someone who might need a little reminder that they’re doing okay.
